About

This program is specifically designed to provide life changing experiences for students who display notable academic performance and quality leadership skills while experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, the student must be nominated by their school Principal/Vice Principal and be enrolled full-time in Year 12 at one of the identified local high schools.  Nominees must be able to demonstrate consistent academic performance coupled with leadership acumen as identified by their school Principal / Vice Principal and at least two independent referees.

All nominations are screened by the Club’s Committee in consultation with the nominating Principals/Vice Principals to ensure that each candidate is suited to and demonstrates the motivation required to undertake the work required from their chosen course. A short-listing process and panel-style interview will closely follow.

Candidates must be available to personally attend each scheduled interview.

In addition to undertaking the selected enrolled course, the candidate must agree to work a minimum 10 hours per week within the respective department of the Club under the Terms, Conditions and Renumeration of the Registered and Licenced Clubs Award for the duration of the funding period.

Grants will cover domestic Tuition Fees, Practical Exam Fees, Books and miscellaneous items required from time to time on a Semester basis and will be paid each Semester direct to the Institution in AUD upon receipt of an Invoice.
