PART 1

ART EXHIBITION

Painting, Sketch, Printmaking, Photography, Pottery

Our Clubs’ Reception area will transform into a spectacular pop-up Art Gallery filled with vibrant local art pieces from both primary and secondary school students.

Let’s not forget the, the “People’s Choice Award” category, whereby the broader community have the opportunity to get involved and cast their vote on their favourite piece.

Of critical importance is the relationship between the artwork and the accompanying artist’s statement. This should make explicit the ways in which the work responds to the theme.

Teachers are asked to emphasise with their students the importance of a clear and explicit link between the artist’s statement and the submitted work. Where possible, teachers are asked to encourage participation in the Art Competition by devoting some class time to aspects of the prize and providing opportunities for students to dedicate some time for the making of works for the exhibition.

Please note: Existing works are welcomed.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE (ONLINE)

To be able to participate in the “People’s Choice”, you must be 18 years or older and be a financial member of Holman Barnes Group. If you are not a member you can simply sign up from as little as $3.
