Our History
For more than 70 years, Holman Barnes Group has stood at the heart of the communities it serves.
It is a story that starts in 1955 with a group of community members, a modest building on a car park, and a single belief: that a club should give more than it takes. Seventy years later, that belief continues to guide a growing organisation with a diverse portfolio spanning venues, sport, community assets and strategic investments. That belief has not changed.
The names behind the Group
Beyond their masterful rugby league talents, Keith Holman and Keith Barnes were men of integrity. They achieved acknowledgement from their respective countries for their contributions both on and off the field. They were men of honour, pride and commitment, representing the best in their sport and in the game.
We pay homage to their courage and determination, unflagging spirit and ability to bring people together in support of their team. It is our desire to harness that same spirit and forge a partnership that acknowledges them now and long into the future.
